About us
In a time of profound transformation, leadership can no longer rely on quick reactions alone. Moldova needs leaders who can think strategically, act with integrity, and build sustainable, competitive, and responsible organizations.
At Chișinău Business School, we believe education has a vital role to play in shaping those leaders. By bringing international expertise, global perspectives, and a strong business community together in Moldova, we create a place where leaders can grow, challenge their thinking, and prepare for what comes next.

Welcome to CBS
Chișinău Business School (CBS) is Moldova’s first business school that offers a world-class Executive MBA program and short executive trainings for leaders in the private and public sectors. CBS was founded by the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova in partnership with the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
Our co-founding partners who believe investing in leadership education means investing in Moldova’s future: Orange Moldova, Moldindconbank, and Moldcell.
CBS is the first educational institution in Moldova to join the Global Business School Network (GBSN). This membership is a recognition of our commitment to academic excellence and a signal that CBS meets the standards of some of the world’s most respected business schools.

Meet the team
Our Core
Philosophy
At CBS, we believe that great leadership is not taught through theory alone. It is also built through a rigorous, human-centered approach to learning - one that shapes not just professionals, but people. Our educational philosophy – and promise to our students – is inspired from our academic partner Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, and is grounded in four non-negotiable principles. We call it FREE.
F
Fact-Based:
F stands for our fact- and science based approach. In a world of lies and half-truths, where algorithms are playing an increasing role in forming our worldview, the scientific, critical approach is of crucial importance. If your factual knowledge is poor, you will have nothing to weigh your biases, impulses, or new and innovative ideas against.
R
Reflective:
R stands for reflective and self-aware. At CBS we encourage you to really ponder—your ambitions, your motivations, and who holds true influence over your decisions. It’s about defining your own path. This highlights the importance of self-awareness and reflecting on your choices.
E
Empathic:
E stands for empathic and culturally literate. An empathic person can view the world from the perspective of other people, immerse themselves in other people’s situations, and imagine what it is like to walk in their shoes. Having the ability to decode other cultures, to understand people of other nationalities or educational backgrounds, is indicative of success and meaningfulness in life in general.
E
Entrepreneurial:
E stands for entrepreneurial and responsible. It’s about questioning the status quo. This is where creativity and innovation enter the picture. The knowledge you gain at CBS comes with power. If you have the power to make a difference, you also have a duty to use it wisely.
